RFI Membership
Benefits of Membership
Whether your factory is a leader in implementing the RBA Code of Conduct or just getting started, there are many benefits to becoming a member of the Responsible Factory Initiative. The RFI was launched in 2018 to provide members with leading tools and programs to assess their performance against the RBA Code, receive expert guidance on areas to prioritize for improvement, and train staff to implement the Code. The RFI also has benefits, via our Factory of Choice Awards Program, for those factories that are leaders in sustainability and want to be recognized as such. For RBA Members, having suppliers become RFI members facilitates and accelerates the development of their supply chain partner’s labor conditions and environmental practices.
The RFI offers access to all the online, and on-demand trainings, webinars, and datasheets. It comes with access to RBA tools like RBA-Online, the eLearning Academy, and the RBA Factory Certified Lead program. Further, the RFI builds on existing tools and programs currently available to members, including a supply chain risk assessment tool, facility-level Self-Assessment Questionnaire (SAQ), the Validated Audit Program (VAP), VAP Recognition Program, and Factory Lead Certification.
Membership includes access to:
- RBA-Online ($250 annual value)
- RBA eLearning Academy ($1,500 value)
- RBA Factory Certified Lead program ($800 value for a single employee)
- Verified Self-Assessment ($600)
In addition, specific services and tools are provided to RFI members to assist in establishing factory-level capability programs, including:
- Verified SAQ
- RBA staff support
- Trainings on the top findings in a VAP audit: Working Hours and Emergency Preparedness
Eligibility
RFI membership is for individual factories who are not current RBA members. RFI membership is intended for factories that support the objectives of the RFI and whose primary objective of joining the initiative is the implementation of the RBA Code of Conduct at their site. RBA members and RBA member-owned factories do not need to join RFI as these tools are already available to them through their RBA membership. For suppliers who have multiple factories, RBA membership is suggested as opposed to RFI membership, but please reach out to discuss with RFI staff.
